These new maps will incorporate a mixture of source material including the 2008 Ordnance Survey Data, new software and the latest aerial photograph technology to identify permanent ineligible features, and a more sophisticated mapping tool to measure the field sizes. The RPA are writing to all its claimants’ with the updated maps. The RPA have given every claimant 28 days to respond to these updated maps, either to agree to them or to change them by completing a RMU1 form and amending the map by hand. This can involve having to get a survey of the land to establish the correct area of a particular parcel and to amend the boundaries correctly. The RPA at the moment are completely inflexible on this deadline, if you do nothing the RPA may action changes which may decrease your overall eligible area and you may have less land on which to claim. If you make mistakes in completing your 2010 claim form you may incur penalties. lf you have received your updated maps and you have any queries or need to get a boundary changed or area surveyed, please speak to Hugh Townsend or Adam Downing as soon as possible so that you can respond appropriately. | |||
