It is a sad fact of modern life that there are an increasing number of disputes arising out of property ownership and occupation. At Townsend Chartered Surveyors we recognise this and are trained and qualified to assist in dispute resolution, be that providing valuations of the capital value of property assets for matrimonial proceedings or partnership splits, or Expert Witness reports to assist in litigation over structural defects, easements or covenants, planning issues or simply negligence over boundaries.
We can provide Arbitration, expert witness reports, and independent expert advice, all of which can assist at any stage of a dispute. Our overriding aim is to attempt to settle a dispute before it ends up in court, when all too often the professional fees and other costs, both financial and emotional, will outweigh the benefit of any imposed settlement.
We always execute our instructions in accordance with statutory and professional requirements, and present technical and complicated issues in a clear and understandable way. If required we are able to give evidence in court, land tribunals and arbitrations, and always ensure we have the full background information so we can confidently sustain an opinion under cross examination.
